Temptation is easy to recognize when the choice is obviously wrong.
But what about when it isn’t?
In Matthew 4, Jesus had been fasting for forty days when He was tempted to turn stones into bread. He was genuinely hungry. Bread wasn’t bad. The need was real.
And that’s what makes this story so important.
In Episode 4 of Behind Enemy Lines, we’re looking at how temptation can meet us in vulnerable places and make the wrong solution look completely reasonable. We’ll talk about what James teaches us about our own desires, why knowing your patterns matters, and how recognizing what you’re really hungry for can help you see the setup before you take the bait.
Because sometimes the question isn’t simply, “Is this wrong?”
It’s “What am I actually hungry for—and where is this choice going to take me?”
